So approximately 60% of Americans think Trump fired Comey to protect himself, and approximately 60% oppose the president's decision to withdraw from the Paris agreement -- but Republicans are overwhelmingly out of step with the American public as a whole.

And yet nearly every day we're subjected to another media deep dive into the thinking of hardcore Trump supporters in the heartland. The implication is that Trump's critics live in an elitist bubble, and only Trump voters are real Americans.

Enough already. Most Americans are Trump opponents. Trump fans are the ones who are living in a bubble. Trump Country is the bubble where the voice of the real America doesn't permeate. Mainstream media, wake up and recognize this fact.
