Gameweek 32 - Daily Fantasy Football Tips

Starting 11 is a new Daily Fantasy Premier League football game and app, which has become extremely popular amongst the FPL community since August 2017, as managers get to pick a brand new fantasy team each week, without the headache of managing a season-long team.

As always, this week’s picks are suitable for all fantasy football game formats and will suit most scoring systems, so we hope you find good use for them, whether you’re playing Fantasy Premier League, or daily fantasy games over at Starting 11.

Forwards

Safe Pick -  Salah v Crystal Palace (A)

Unbelievable scenes last time out as this season's key fantasy player scored 4 goals in one game, as well as an assist for good measure – was he your captain?

Whether he is in your midfield on FPL or upfront in your Starting 11 side, this man cannot be ignored and it’s hard to find an article without him.

Crystal Palace will no doubt have plans to contain him, but the question remains, how many will Salah score this week?

Differential - Murray v Leicester (H)

A player who continues to surprise me.  I expect his goal scoring form to dip then he finds the back of the net again.

Having scored 5 goals in 6 games, you’d expect to see that sort of goal scoring form for a striker at a European giant – not Brighton!

Leicester haven’t kept a clean sheet in the league since mid-January and I see every chance that Murray will take advantage of that poor defensive form.

Midfielders

Safe Pick –  Mkhitaryan v Stoke (H)

After crawling out from the darkness at Manchester United, Mkhitaryan has already reminded us of the type of performances we saw at Dortmund – highlighted again with a goal and assist vs Watford.

Arsenal's opponents on Sunday are Stoke City, who are stuck in a relegation dog fight after 7 games without a win.

As if they were never separated at Dortmund, Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang have been stand out performers at Arsenal making them useful choice across all fantasy formats.  A favourable domestic fixture list means we should be seeing a lot more of Mkhitaryan.

Differential Pick – Gudmundsson v WBA (A)

Well know this season for their defensive capabilities, Burnley have now started to offer an attacking option.

The Burnley winger has 2 assists in 2 games and with a broken West Brom team up next I expect Burnley to be too much for the Baggies.  Provided Gudmundsson is match fit he will start.

Burnley have played some good football lately in contrast to WBA. With a double Gameweek on the horizon for Burnley I expect them to be popular picks on FPL, as well as on Starting 11.

Defenders

Safe Pick – Bailly v Swansea (H)

Bailly returned from injury to a defence which had started to leak goals in his absence. He showed Manchester United fans what they had been missing against Liverpool in a game he was unlucky to concede in.

With Jones nearing full fitness, Mourinho has his first choice pairing back at last – I expect (and Manchester United fans will hope) to see more clean sheets between now and the remainder of the season

Swansea have been playing some good football of late, however aside from the 4 goals they scored against a shambolic West Ham, they haven’t found the back of the net often against their other opponents of late.

Differential Pick – Mee v WBA (A)

Only 26 goals conceded all season for Burnley, finally their efforts were rewarded with a clean sheet against West Ham – their first for 8 games.

Judging by this week opponents, I think Ben Mee will make it 2 clean sheets on the run. West Brom have only managed to score 3 times in their last 5 games.

After defensive injuries across the back line, Sean Dyche finally has the boys back together – a chance for one final push between now and the end of the season.

Goalkeepers

Safe Pick – Ederson vs Everton (A)

Manchester City defensive assets have been frustrating at times this season, the team scoring freely at one end of the pitch but conceding the one odd goal at the other end to deny fantasy bosses of their clean sheet points.

Well that seems to have changed lately - 3 clean sheets for Ederson in his last 3 games.

Everton’s form is hit and miss at the moment - they may have won their last 2 games however both opponents ended the game with 10 men.  I can’t see them having the same luck again this week.

Differential Pick –  Dubravka v Huddersfield (H)

Since taking over as Newcastle’s number 1, Dubravka has gone on to keep 2 cleans sheets in 4 games.

Huddersfield haven’t scored a goal for 3 games - a dreadful record which Newcastle will be hoping continues.

This is an important game for both sides this weekend, a win will put some air between them and the relegation battle – I believe Benitez has the tactical prowess to win this battle.

CAPTAIN PICK

This week I am handing the armband to none other than Mohamed Salah.

We all know he rarely blanks, added to the high ceiling he has now created for himself – only scoring 1 goal would probably be a disappointment.

Crystal Palace have been scoring goals but also leaking them, highlighted when they went from 2-0 up against Manchester United, only to go on to lose the game 3-2.

Salah is the one player you can always captain with confidence.

Whatever you decide, I hope you’ll join us this Gameweek by downloading the FREE Starting 11 app in the App Store or the Google Play Store.
