Gameweek 35 - Daily Fantasy Football Tips
Starting 11 is a new Daily Fantasy Premier League football game and app, which has become extremely popular amongst the FPL community since August 2017, as managers get to pick a brand new fantasy team each week, without the headache of managing a season-long team.
As always, this week’s picks are suitable for all fantasy football game formats and will suit most scoring systems, so we hope you find good use for them, whether you’re playing Fantasy Premier League, or daily fantasy games over at Starting 11.

Forwards
Safe Pick - Salah vs. West Brom (A)
Now on thirty goals for the season, surely Salah’s lead over Harry Kane in the race for the Golden Boot is a stretch too far?
Salah certainly won’t be resting on his laurels, especially knowing he could be rested during Gameweek 36 with Champions League commitments – as well as Kane having one additional game.
For their opponents West Brom, normal service will resume this weekend – an easy win for Liverpool and a chance for Salah to stretch his lead over Kane.
Differential - Arnautovic vs. Arsenal (A)
How Arnautovic has taken on his new role as striker for West Ham, one of the few shining lights in West Ham’s season – his nine goals this season have been key to their likely survival in the Premier League.
This weekend West Ham take on Arsenal, a side which is regularly weakened lately due to Europa League priorities – as well as a leaky defence.
A player I’d love to own on FPL and one I love to utilise on Starting 11, he will take his place in my line-up this weekend.
Midfielders
Safe Pick – Mane vs. West Brom (A)
With a fixture such as this it seems logical to double up on Liverpool attacking assets. Mane and Salah’s link up play with Firmino has been a joy to watch at times.
I almost feel sorry for West Brom, with their season all but over the win against Manchester United may have given some a glimmer of hope – they will be brought down to earth with a thud this weekend.
Mane himself has scored twice in Liverpool’s last three games and I expect him to continue his good form.
Differential Pick – Gudmundsson vs. Stoke (A)
Well we all thought he’d miss Gameweek 34 through injury and then he popped up with two assists. Qho’d have thought we would be considering Burnley coverage for attack?
Well the Clarets are sitting pretty in 7th place, challenging Arsenal for 6th – could we see Burnley in Europe next season?
Their opponents Stoke are without a win since January and after throwing away a vital win last weekend, they could be joining West Brom in the Championship next season.
Defenders
Safe Pick – Van Dijk vs. West Brom (A)
Liverpool don’t keep clean sheets - Well, van Dijk would argue against this after recording three of them in his last four league games – even Manchester City only managed to score once during their two legs in the Champions League.
Having the joint worst goals scoring record in the Premier League this season (27) along with Stoke City, I don’t expect West Brom to cause too many problems for Liverpool this weekend.
With his presence in the box an attacking threat (he was even on direct free kicks vs Everton), van Dijk has been threatening a goal which will surely come before the end of the season.
Differential Pick – Long vs Stoke (A)
With Ben Mee potentially out for the season, Long has stepped into the limelight and celebrated is league start with a goal vs Leicester – let’s try not to dwell on the own goal vs Chelsea.
The clean sheets seem to have dried up and have become something of a myth, but Burnley don’t concede many – in fact Chelsea were the first team to score more than one goal vs Burnley since Liverpool did on New Years' Day.
I still have faith in the Clarets to bring us another clean sheet and I will be backing them again this weekend.
Goalkeepers
Safe Pick – Karius vs. West Brom (A)
Are you willing to stack that defence vs West Brom?
It’s certainly an option this weekend given Liverpool’s defensive form and West Brom’s lack of attacking threat.
Differential Pick – Pickford v Swansea (A)
Ok, so that Liverpool stack feels a little too risky for you, would you put it all on a Burnley stack instead?
#PopeMee was a lovely thing earlier in the season, could this be the time of #LongPope?
With only three goals in their last six games, Stoke’s time in England’s top flight could be coming to an end – can Burnley shut them out this weekend?
CAPTAIN PICK
It’s Mohamed Salah, the soon to be crowned player of the season and golden boot winner, who else?
It feels like he deserves one of those Premier League winner’s medals from Manchester City – he’s certainly not going to get one of those at Anfield!
Scoring thirty goals in the league already this season is incredible and he seems motivated to secure that golden boot, despite us entering the stage of the season where Kane tend to go nuclear.
Unless you fancy a punt this weekend, captain Salah and enjoy the rewards.
