They're mainly just being friendly and doing the most conventional small talk, but it can get into your head and make you feel that you're supposed to go away on vacation, that you'll be pitied if you don't. So keep it to yourself. Just like you don't freely dish out info on how much sex you're having, you don't need to tell everyone whether or not you travel. By making these topics private, you'll have a better chance of doing what you really want to do.
